Description
The Drain Pump and Motor is an original LG (OEM) replacement part for LG made washing machines that is responsible for removing water from the washer at the end of the wash cycle. The pump forces water out through the drain hose so that clothing comes out free of excess water, making the drying process faster. 
Symptoms of a failing Drain Pump Motor include:
Water not draining out of the washing machine 
Noisy or unusual sounds coming from the pump area during the drain cycle
The washing machine stopping mid-cycle
